UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. -- Ideally, the third time is truly the charm for the Big Ten, as the conference released its third version of a regular-season 2020 football schedule Saturday morning.
The schedule features an eight-game regular season followed by a ninth game that will feature teams in each division playing a seeded game during the last week of the season.
Penn State will open the season Saturday, Oct. 24, against Indiana before hosting Ohio State on Saturday, Oct. 31.
The Nittany Lions will host Maryland the following weekend prior to heading to Nebraska. After facing the Cornhuskers, the first time the two schools have squared off since 2017, Penn State will return home to take on Iowa.
It will be back-to-back road trips as the Nittany Lions head to Ann Arbor to face Michigan the week of Thanksgiving, Sat. Nov. 28 before heading to Rutgers the next week.
For their penultimate game, Penn State will host Michigan State, Dec. 12.
Where the Nittany Lions fall in the standing will dictate who they play in the final game of the season.
