CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- After Pitt's 31-30 loss to Boston College, Pitt dropped to 3-2 on the season, 2-2 in the ACC, and was expected to not even be considered in the Associated Press' Top 25 Poll.
And it wasn't when the AP released this week's poll Sunday.
After receiving seven votes to be ranked last week, Pitt deservedly received none this week:

But the ACC was still well represented with five ranked teams, including three in the top five:
• No. 1 Clemson
• No. 4 Notre Dame
• No. 5 North Carolina
• No. 13 Miami
• No. 23 Virginia Tech
Pitt gets to play No. 13 Miami at Hard Rock Stadium next Saturday at Noon in its first ranked opponent since beating No. 23 Louisville in week three.

West Virginia remained unranked after its 27-21 overtime win over Baylor took the team's record to 2-1, and 1-1 in the Big 12.
LSU's 45-41 loss to Missouri dropped the reigning national champions to 1-2 on the season and led to them joining Pitt among the AP's unranked teams. They are the first national champion to be unranked since 2011.
