Pitt Athletics began contacting season ticket holders and students Thursday for the opportunity to attend the football team's final two home games at Heinz Field:

After the Steelers allowed a maximum of 5,500 fans against the Eagles last Sunday, Pitt followed suit with allowing the same amount of fans to attend it's final two home games against No. 4 Notre Dame and No. 23 Virginia Tech.

Pitt has already played four home games in 2020 with no fans in attendance, going 3-1 against Austin Peay, Syracuse, Louisville and N.C. State. After those games, Pat Narduzzi had made a point to make it public that several of his players' parents had still come to Pittsburgh from as far as New Jersey and Maryland to meet their sons before and after games while watching in nearby hotels.

Now with fans in attendance, parents of Pitt's football players can attend the final two home games of the season.

Pitt plans to accommodate approximately 1,000 students, including the Pitt Band and Panthers' spirit squads. Members of the Student Panther Club will have the first opportunity to secure tickets.
