The Panthers will play three conference games in December, with the first in-conference home game coming against Louisville on December 22nd.
"We are excited to have our conference schedule set as well as a plan that will enable families, the Oakland Zoo, our loyal donors and fans the opportunity to join us at the Petersen Events Center," said head coach Jeff Capel. "This season is going to look different in nearly every way, but it is going to be a great opportunity for our program to compete and grow in the face of adversity."
Pitt still has to schedule four of its five non-conference games, with the only agreement so far being against Northwestern on Dec. 9.
Those non-conference games are being finalized and will be announced at a later date. They are expected to be played between late November and early December before ACC play begins with Pitt taking on Miami on Dec. 16.
Tip-off times and TV designations for all games also are to be announced at a later date.
As a result of COVID-19 restrictions by Pennsylvania, Pitt's capacity attendance for home games will be 1,250 attendees for its 14 scheduled home games. Tickets only will be sold on a single-game basis, and the 1,250 attendees number includes, players, coaches and event staff. That means attendance for home games will be significantly lower, and those numbers are subject to change with respect to how Pennsylvania and the country's numbers of cases and deaths increase or decrease in the coming months.
First priority of tickets to be offered will go to 2019-2020 season ticket holders, while Pitt plans to accommodate approximately 350 students, including the university band, spirit squad, and members of the Student Panther Club.
