RICHMOND, Va. -- It’s weird the stuff you remember.

I remember turning on the TV, and realizing that we might luck out and get a snow game. Of course, I remember the sickening disbelief I felt watching the first half, Kelly Holcomb slicing the Steelers' defense apart at will. But mostly, I remember that I experienced this entire game on the tiny screen of the TV that sat on a shelf next to the drawing table in my studio, with the sound turned down almost to silent so as not to disturb my wife (at that point, still my girlfriend) as she napped on the big, luxurious couch in the next room of the tiny rental house we shared, exhausted after yet another late-night holiday gathering.

Ah, to be young!

I know where I’ll be Sunday night, and again, my wife will most likely be asleep before the game ends…here’s hoping she’ll let me have a little volume this time:
