Alright, this update isn't quite as bad as some of the others have been.

Kris Letang is out of the lineup tonight for the Penguins' game against the Rangers in New York after suffering a lower-body injury on Saturday. Mike Sullivan said that Letang is day-to-day, though, and still being evaluated.

John Marino shifted up to the top defense pairing alongside P.O Joseph after Letang left last game, so he can be expected to play there again tonight. It's not the first time the two played together on a pairing -- they were the Penguins' top defense pairing in the Prospects Challenge in Buffalo two summers ago.

"Obviously, he's a great player," Marino said. "He makes the game a lot easier. I think it's pretty cool to reminisce, go back to that pairing again."

Tonight's pairings, with Kevin Czuczman getting back into the lineup, could look something like this:

P.O Joseph-John Marino
Chad Ruhwedel-Cody Ceci
Kevin Czuczman-Yannick Weber

Casey DeSmith will be in net again.
