ISELIN, N.J. -- The Penguins' game in Newark next Tuesday is going to be postponed because of the Devils' ongoing COVID-19 issues.

It is not known when the game will be made up, but it is expected to cause ripple effects that could cause a significant portion of their schedule to be adjusted.

That will be their third game against the Devils in a week that will not go off as scheduled. New Jersey had been supposed to play at PPG Paints Arena Tuesday and Thursday, but those games were postponed because of COVID-19.

The Penguins will play the Islanders Saturday at 7:08 p.m. at Nassau Coliseum.

They have been scheduled to spend a week in the New York metropolitan area because they were to face the Devils Tuesday and the Islanders again next Thursday, but now are expected to return to Pittsburgh after the game Saturday night.
