The ACC announced the postponement of another Pitt game, this time the Panthers' Sunday opponent, Clemson.
The decision comes after a positive COVID-19 test in the Tigers' program and the subsequent contact tracing and quarantining that is required by ACC protocols. It is now the Panthers' seventh postponed game this season.
Fortunately for the Panthers, the ACC quickly found an opponent to replace Clemson in Florida State. The Seminoles' earlier games against the Panthers was postponed due to a positive test with Florida State's program, and now has the two rescheduled to play 4 p.m. Saturday at the Petersen Events Center.
Florida State is ranked No. 16 by the Associated Press with a 12-3 record, 8-2 in the ACC. It would be the third ranked opponent Pitt has played in February after beating Virginia Tech two weeks ago and losing to Virginia last week.
