You don't see this very often anymore.
There was a goalie fight with nine seconds remaining in the Nailers' 6-1 win over the Utah Grizzlies on Sunday.
A brawl ensued in the Grizzlies' zone, Utah goaltender Kevin Carr and Wheeling goaltender Francois Brassard met at center ice and dropped the gloves, with Brassard getting the takedown:
Brassard made 23 saves on 24 shots for the Nailers in the win and was named the No. 3 star. Alex D'Orio played the last 9.1 seconds in relief after Brassard was kicked out of the game and didn't face any shots.
Brassard, 27, was a sixth-round pick of the Senators in 2012. He played Canadian university hockey after his QMJHL career ended, and is now in his second full season in the ECHL. He's 3-3-1 in eight appearances for the Nailers this season, with a 2.50 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage.
