Kevin Colbert's around for at least one more year.

The Steelers announced Monday afternoon that they had signed their general manager to a one-year extension. This keeps Colbert with the organization through the 2022 NFL Draft.

Colbert has been with the Steelers organization since he took over as the director of football operations in 2000 before his title changed to the team's general manager. As NFL free agency is set to kickoff Wednesday at 4 p.m., Colbert being around for another season means that he'll get his fingerprints more on the next era of the Steelers after Ben Roethlisberger retires.

Colbert joined the team after serving in the scouting department of the Lions. The Steelers have gone to three Super Bowls and won two in his tenure.
