The Penguins can breathe a sigh of relief as Brandon Tanev's injury doesn't appear to be anything serious.
After suffering an upper-body injury in warmups and being a late scratch for Saturday's game against the Devils in Newark, Tanev will be a game-time decision for Sunday's 1 p.m. game against the Devils in Pittsburgh, the Penguins announced on Sunday.
With Tanev out of the lineup in New Jersey, Jared McCann played as second-line center and Evan Rodrigues shifted over to second-line left wing in Tanev's place.
Jason Zucker, who remains out "longer term" with a lower-body injury, skated again Sunday morning as part of the rehab process.
