CHICAGO -- Good morning!
It was opening day of the Pittsburgh Baseball Club's 135th season, and we've got all bases covered, to say the least.
Gerard Gilberto and I are both here in the Windy City, and we've got extensive content on everything that went down. Gerard will have the rest of the series to himself. Alex Stumpf will travel to Cincinnati for the second series, and then Alex and I will have the home opener April 8 at PNC Park.
Amid all that movement, we've had a collective effort aimed at preparing readers for what's to come. We don't presume everyone reads every syllable of our spring material, so there's been a fresh look early this week at some vital issues from both Gerard and Alex, and I had a season preview column myself in advance of the opener.
