The Penguins responded to Tuesday night's near-total collapse against the Devils with a 5-1 win on Thursday.
Sidney Crosby opened the scoring early at the 41-second mark of the first period, with Bryan Rust and Kris Letang getting assists.
Devils defenseman Matt Tennyson tied the game later in the period with a shot from the point.
Cody Ceci extended his point streak to four games with a goal late in the first period, a slap shot from the point set up by Brian Dumoulin. Kasperi Kapanen, returning to the Penguins' lineup after missing the last 13 games with a foot injury, picked up a point with the secondary assist.
The Penguins were outshot 11-7 in the second period, but extended their lead to 5-1 in the process.
Rust scored midway through the period off of a 2-on-1 with Jake Guentzel, with Crosby earning his second point of the game with the secondary assist.
Kapanen extended the lead 25 seconds later off of a rush up the right side of the ice, leading the Devils to pull goaltender Aaron Dell in favor of Scott Wedgewood. Teddy Blueger and Zach Aston-Reese earned assists on the goal.
Crosby got called for holding the stick less than two minutes later. With three seconds remaining in the minor penalty, Blueger scored a shorthanded goal to make it a 5-1 game. Letang and John Marino picked up assists.
The Devils put on the pressure in the third period, outshooting the Penguins 11-4, but unlike Tuesday's game the Penguins didn't allow them to get back into the game.
Tristan Jarry earned the win with 30 saves on 31 shots.
