On Thursday the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Pennsylvania Department of Health announced that fully-vaccinated people can resume activities without masks, except where required by local regulations and by businesses.
The Pirates quickly announced Friday that fully-vaccinated fans will not have to wear masks at games, though the enforcement of the policy will be self-regulated.
Fans attending Penguins playoff games at PPG Paints Arena will still be required to wear masks unless actively eating or drinking, the team announced Friday.
The rule comes from the NHL itself, not the Penguins.
