RICHMOND, Va. -- I wasn’t at the Civic Arena the night the Penguins captured the 1991 Prince of Wales Trophy, but those whowere often swear that the old barn was never louder, as almost 25 years of futility and heartbreak was finally put to bed in a massive exhortation of joy and relief.

That Stanley Cup championship may have been all the sweeter simply because, despite having the best player in the world on the roster for the better part of a decade, it took so long to happen.

There’s truly nothing like the first time!
