RICHMOND, Va. -- I could probably be accused, and justifiably so, of creating WAY too many of these strips about the Penguins' 2009 run to the Stanley Cup title.
But hey, why wouldn’t I?
Over the course of that championship run, especially, there were so many moments of such seismic drama, from Max Talbot’s fight with the Flyers, to the matchup of Sidney Crosby vs. Alexander Ovechkin, to the rematch with the Red Wings and the return of Marian Hossa. Truly a case where you had to be there to believe it!
Anyway, something to keep in mind when you read about Jordan Staal’s momentum-shifting short-handed goal over the next couple weeks…you’ve been warned!
