I got this question in yesterday's Live Qs, and I thought I'd open it up to everyone here.

Which NHL arena would you like to visit the most, and why?

For me, the answer would be either of the two newest arenas for next season, the Islanders' brand new UBS Arena or the Kraken's Climate Pledge Arena, which has been around since 1962 but has gone extensive renovations in preparation for the Kraken.

The Kraken's new home is unique, with the windows on the end and the dual three-sided videoboards.

With UBS Arena, Islanders co-owner Jon Ledecky said last week that they aimed to take "the best of Nassau Coliseum" and bring it to the new arena, which I presume doesn't include the asbestos.

The result though is a really pretty old-school feel:

The newer buildings already in the league tend to have really cool in-game effects for the fans. Vegas, of course, comes to mind, though a pregame show at this level is surely going to remain unique to Vegas:

The Red Wings' new arena also does a really good job of using the new effects to honor the team's past, with the retired number banners descending from the rafters one by one, and using the on-ice projections to show the team's history.
