The pandemic's made strangers of far too many of us. My brother and his wife visited this past weekend, bringing their beautiful baby daughter to us for the first time at eight months old. Everyone had to be cautious because of coronavirus, so yeah, it took this long. But my goodness, was it ever worth the wait. What an experience that was, feeling like an uncle for the first time.
Her arrival brought a big smile to a weekend that really needed it. My Mom, who passed in February, would've had a birthday Sunday. My Dad, who passed a couple years ago exactly on Father's Day ... yeah.
