The NHL announced the recipients of five of its awards -- the Hart, Vezina, Calder, Norris, and Ted Lindsay -- as well as the All-Rookie team and All-Star Teams, and no Penguins players were among the winners.

Several Penguins received votes for the awards, though.

Connor McDavid won the Hart Memorial Trophy as the "player adjudged to be the most valuable to his team," and the decision was unanimous. Of the 100 ballots cast by members of the Professional Hockey Writers Association, each one gave McDavid a first-place vote. Sidney Crosby finished fourth in the voting behind Auston Matthews and Nathan MacKinnon. Crosby received 11 second-place votes, 13 third-place votes, 20 fourth-place votes and 21 fifth-place votes.

McDavid also won the Ted Lindsay Award as the league's best player as voted on by the players, beating out finalists Crosby and Matthews. The results of the voting were not immediately made public.

Rangers defenseman Adam Fox won the James Norris Memorial Trophy as the league's top defenseman, winning the award in just his second NHL season. Kris Letang finished ninth in voting, which is done by the PHWA. He received one first-place vote, three second-place votes, three third-place votes, two fourth-place votes and eight fifth-place votes.

Minnesota's Kirill Kaprizov won the Calder Memorial Trophy as the league's top rookie, receiving 99 of the PHWA's first-place votes. Runner-up Jason Robertson of the stars received the other first-place vote. No Penguins players received votes for either the award or the All-Rookie Team.

Marc-Andre Fleury won the Vezina Trophy as the league's top goaltender as voted on by the league's general managers. It was Fleury's first season as a finalist. Fleury received 14 first-place votes, 11 second-place votes, and five third-place votes for a total of 108 points, narrowly beating out Andrei Vasilevskiy, who received 99 points in the voting.

No Penguins player was named to either of the All-Star teams, but three received votes. Crosby finished fifth among centers behind McDavid, Matthews, MacKinnon, and Leon Draisaitl. Crosby received one first-place vote -- the only one of the 100 first-place votes that didn't go to McDavid -- as well as four second-place votes and nine third-place votes. Jake Guentzel finished sixth among left wings in the voting, receiving two second-place votes and three fourth-place votes. Letang finished ninth among defensemen, receiving four first-place votes, five second-place votes, and 17 third-place votes.
