The Steelers signed most of their rookie draft class rather quickly, getting most of those deals done over a month ago. But third-round pick Kendrick Green had been the one outlier.
That has now been taken care of.
According to a source, Green has agreed to terms on a four-year deal as the Steelers prepare to open training camp Thursday at the UPMC-Rooney Sports Complex.
The rookie is expected to battle B.J. Finney and J.C. Hassenauer for the starting center spot opened up when Maurkice Pouncey retired at the conclusion of the 2020 season.
Green started at both center and guard over the previous three seasons at Illinois.
The Steelers will hold the first week of their training camp at their own practice facility before moving over to Heinz Field next week.
