Brandon Tanev is gone. So is Jared McCann.
The offseason changes for the Penguins have begun, and should gain momentum over the next few weeks.
There could even be some this weekend, during the NHL draft. The Penguins only have five choices and won't get any immediate help,
but the draft often provides the setting for trades, and it's possible Ron Hextall will try to make some moves Friday or Saturday.
Free agency kicks in next week, and the Penguins surely will see if they can address any of their personnel needs -- like a replacement for Tanev -- there.
