Troy Polamalu tested positive for COVID-19, he announced on his social media channels on Friday.

Polamalu said in the announcement that he feels "great" and that his family is doing well.

Polamalu is a member of the 2020 Pro Football Hall of Fame class, which will be inducted in Canton on Aug. 7, followed by the 2021 class on Aug. 8.

Polamalu said that he is working with the Hall of Fame to ensure that he and his family will still be able to make it to Canton for the enshrinement and other activities that week.

“We are disappointed for Troy right now and pray for his quick recovery with no complications,” David Baker, the president & CEO of the Pro Football Hall of Fame said in a release. “We’ll work with him to make sure he’s honored as an enshrinee the way he should be – and that’s mindful of others in the Centennial Class, fans and everyone else in attendance. He had an incredible football career and will have an equally incredible career as a Hall of Famer.”
