Penguins cut two forwards from camp roster taken at PPG Paints Arena (Penguins)

The Penguins on Tuesday made their second round of cuts from the training camp roster, reducing the number of players in camp from 50 to 48.

Forwards Jan Drozg and Justin Almeida were re-assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for the AHL training camp.

Almeida played on the left wing of the fourth line in the Penguins' preseason opener against the Blue Jackets at PPG Paints Arena, recording no shots on goal or shot attempts in 12:45 of ice time. He played on the second power play unit, recording 4:27 of ice time on the man advantage.

Drozg played on the right wing of the fourth line Monday, and recorded one shot on goal on one attempt, and one blocked shot. He played 9:52 in the game, including :59 on the second power play unit.

The Penguins had a scheduled day off on Tuesday, and will return to the Lemieux Complex for practice on Wednesday at 10:10 a.m. Their next preseason game will be in Buffalo on Friday evening.
