There's a new way to watch Pitt basketball this season.

After not being able to host fans last season, Pitt has rolled out a new service for alumni and fans to attend basketball games at the Petersen Events Center this season.

First, there's been a new renovation to the arena with an pub-style premium open seating space called the IC Light Baseline Club. It includes two fully stocked bars with an array of IC Light products and an exclusive food menu. The new space has a capacity of 500 people and sits under two new large screens for fans to observe the game from on top of having a clear line of sight to the court from above the 200 level seats.

“The IC Light Baseline Club is a professional venue-style premium space designed to enable a great social experience, while enjoying the excitement of high-level college basketball,” said Christian Spears, University of Pittsburgh Deputy Athletic Director. “The club will be a terrific space for young alumni, particularly former Oakland Zoo members, along with other groups of young professionals to engage and reconnect with the college basketball experience. The membership model creates a great price point to allow a wide range of fans to take advantage of all the great amenities and exclusive offerings that will be available in the IC Light Baseline Club.”

Sitting in the IC Light Baseline Club comes as part of a new attendance subscription service Pitt has introduced. These include "Blue" and "Gold" subscription packages that allow fans to pay a monthly fee for the opportunity to attend the games of their choice.

The Blue membership costs $49 per month during the team's five-month season and offers the opportunity to reserve any game in the open bar seating area of the IC Light Baseline Club section. The Gold membership costs $69 per month and allows fans to either reserve space in the open bar seating or in sections 211-218.

The difference with these memberships compared to regular or season tickets is that when a month is paid for, a fan can reserve a ticket for any game that month under either membership. Paying for a membership plan for a specific month does not lock any fan or alumni into a 12-month commitment and would be limited to specifically the subscribed month.
