RICHMOND, Va. -- When the Minnesota North Stars arrived in Pittsburgh on Halloween for their first rematch with the Penguins since the Stanley Cup Final matchup the previous May, I’m sure they were thinking a little revenge might be in order, as the Pens were mired in an early-season slump at the time.
That bravado was quickly dashed, however, as they once again fell victim to an eight-goal onslaught. It’s hard to blame the Stars too much, though, as they were facing a team that boasted SEVEN hall of famers (eight, if you count Jaromir Jagr). Any way you look at it, that’s… wait for it… scary!
