ALTOONA, Pa. -- The inconsistencies shooting the basketball continued for Duquesne as the Dukes went the final 2:47 of the game without scoring a point ultimately falling 78-70 to Bowling Green Wednesday night at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
The Dukes were paced by Leon Ayers III who notched 20 points in the defeat. Wednesday's performance was the third game in a row that Ayers III has scored 20 or more points, the other two games were Duquesne victories.
Up four after a Primo Spears lay-up, the Dukes would not see any points on the home side of the scoreboard for the rest of the game getting outscored by the Falcons 12-0 in that stand.
Duquesne came out of the gates shooting 43.3 percent in the first half as they held a six-point lead entering the half. The second half was a much different story for the Dukes as they shot 31.25 percent or 10-for-32 from the field.
It was a rare off-night for Spears who had 14 and 21 points respectively in previous two games. Spears finished the day shooting 2-for-12 and manageed only five points.
Kevin Easley, Jr. chipped in 18 points in his 31 minutes of action while adding eight rebounds as well.

THE SCHEDULE
The Dukes head to Marshall to take on the Thundering Herd Saturday at 7:00 p.m. before heading to DePaul next Tuesday. The back-to-back road games marks the first time since 2014 that Duquesne will play two non-conference road games in a row.
