RICHMOND, Va. -- So, maybe in the final analysis, this game, Charlie Batch’s heroic swan song, didn’t amount to that much as the 2012 Steelers missed the playoffs.
Of course the Ravens still managed to go on and win the Super Bowl (ugh, it’s gross to even type that). But it was nice to see Homestead Charlie, always a guy you couldn’t help but root for, go out on top of the world with an unlikely victory, rather than with his previous week’s dismal, three-interception performance in a loss to the lowly Browns.
