Penguins forward Evan Rodrigues has entered the NHL's COVID-19 protocol.
The league's holiday break ended Saturday, and all players are being tested before returning to practice.
Test results for some players still have not been evaluated.
Because the Penguins' game in Boston Monday was postponed when the NHL decided to delay the resumption of play until at least Dec. 28, they are not practicing Sunday, but are scheduled to do so Monday.
They are supposed to play in Toronto Wednesday and Ottawa Friday, although there is no guarantee those games will go off as planned.
Rodrigues, who has been filling in for Jake Guentzel at left wing on the Penguins' No. 1 line, is having an excellent season. He is their second-leading scorer, with 10 goals and 13 assists in 30 games.
