RICHMOND, Va. -- The Steelers' 2009 season was, on the whole, a colossal bummer, as a late-season five-game losing streak against the dregs of the league snuffed out all hope for even a playoff berth, much less a defense of their Super Bowl title, before Christmas.
Still, this game, sloppy as it was at times, was a thrilling preview of Ben Roethlisberger's mid-career emergence as a gunslinger who could compete at the highest level at his position, and it can easily be appreciated as an all-time classic. Sometimes football is more about entertainment than fundamentals!
