Teddy Blueger is expected to miss 6-to-8 weeks after undergoing surgery Monday to repair a fractured jaw.

He was injured on a high hit by Jets defenseman Brenden Dillon during the Penguins' 3-2 shootout victory at PPG Paints Arena Sunday.

Dillon drove Blueger into the glass behind the Winnipeg net just over 11 minutes into the first period.

Blueger took a few strides before dropping to the ice and bled heavily before going to the locker room. He did not return to the game.

Dillon was not penalized and the league office has not announced any supplemental discipline for the hit.

Forwards Jason Zucker and Drew O'Connor and goalie Louis Domingue also are on injured reserve.

Blueger has eight goals and nine assists in 40 games.
