ALTOONA, Pa. -- Despite double-digit points nights from Duquesne's duo of freshmen guards, the Dukes fell to Saint Joseph's 72-61 Wednesday night.
Jackie Johnson III and Primo Spears paced Duquesne with 19 and 12 points respectively in the losing effort as the Dukes fell to 6-11 on the season and 1-4 in the Atlantic 10.
Duquesne trailed by as much as 16 in the first half before climbing back to take the lead in the second half before a 16-7 Saint Joseph's run put the game out of reach for the Dukes.
Leon Ayers III added 11 points for Duquesne who shot 41 percent from beyond the arc.
