ALTOONA, Pa. -- Kahliel Spear's fifth double-double of the season wasn't enough for Robert Morris against UIC Thursday night as the Colonials lost 80-75.
The loss ended a two-game winning streak for Robert Morris and bumped their record to 5-17 on the seasond and 2-10 in the Horizon League.
"Inconsistent effort defensively for us tonight," head coach Andrew Toole said. "We're not good enough to pick and choose when we give the effort, especially defensively."
Spear finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds while junior forward Justin Wilson pitched in 19 points off the bench. Michael Green III and Enoch Cheeks added 16 and 12 points respectively.
"Justin had a good week of practice and had a ton of energy today at shoot around," Toole said. "He had some good looks tonight and knocked them down. He has to build on that. Hopefully he can catch his stride coming down the stretch. We need him to be a consistent producer for us."
