ALTOONA, Pa. -- Duquesne's season of misery continued with a 65-54 loss to Fordham Saturday afternoon at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse. The loss is the Dukes' ninth in a row this season as they moved to 6-19 overall and 1-9 in the Atlantic 10.
Tre Williams led Duquesne with 14 points and five blocks against the Rams. It was his fifth game notching five or more blocks this year and his second such game against Fordham having tallied a career-high seven blocks in their first match up.
The Rams led by as many as 13, but the Dukes kept the game close as a result of Leon Ayers III scoring 12 points and Jackie Johnson III scoring nine of his own.
It was all for naught as the Rams held Duquesne to 36 percent shooting on the afternoon.
A fun fact for the game, Davis Larson surpassed 1,000 career points in the game. He scored 991 points while at Division II Hillsdale. His Dukes journey began this year with him being a graduate assistant before becoming a player once again.
