ALTOONA, Pa. -- Just when Robert Morris seemed to be trending in the right direction, IUPUI came to town with other plans winning 66-56 against the Colonials at the UPMC Events Center Thursday night.

It was the first Horizon League win of the season for IUPUI who moved to 3-22 on the season while the Colonials fell to 7-20 and 5-13 in the Horizon.

"I want to credit IUPUI," head coach Andrew Toole said. "I thought they played incredibly well. They've been faced with such tough circumstances throughout the entire year, and they've never stopped playing and never stopped trying to get better. In the second half they executed extremely well and controlled the game. They deserved the win. We also got what we deserved, and it's something that's incredibly disappointing."

Junior forward Matt Mayers led Robert Morris with 12 points and nine rebounds while senior forward Kahliel Spear chipped in 11 of his own points in the losing effort.
