Pitt came into last weekend needing to land a few 2023 offensive line commits, so they ended up hosting six possible candidates. Their efforts paid off as they now have three offensive tackles committed, including the latest, three-star, 6-7 300-pound Tai Ray from Apopka, Florida.
Ray announced this morning that he selected the Panthers over offers from Indiana, Alabama A&M, Appalachian State and others. Ray was a June offer for Pitt and he quickly jumped at the opportunity to play for the defending ACC Champions. According to 247Sports, Ray is the 107th rated offensive tackle in the country and the 182nd best player in Florida.
