ALTOONA, Pa. -- Pitt continued its recent good recruiting stretch Saturday with a commitment from 3-star offensive lineman Phillip Daniels out of Princeton High School in Cincinnati.

Daniels (6-5, 285) is a good get for the Panthers, and also continues a strong run of recruiting in Ohio by Pat Narduzzi and his staff. Daniels becomes the fourth player out of Ohio to commit to the Panthers for the class of 2023, and he's Pitt's 15th commit for this cycle.

The Panthers rank 27th in the nation for the class of 2023, according to 247Sports.

Daniels had offers from Purdue, Minnesota, Kentucky and Boston College, as well as a slew of offers from mid-level programs. He visited Pitt on June 18.

Daniels is rated the No. 22 prospect from Ohio and No. 49 interior offensive lineman in the nation. He not only is Pitt's fourth commit from that state, he's also the highest-rated prospect from Ohio to choose the Panthers.

The Panthers also have commitments from:

* Athlete Rasheem Biles (6-2, 180), the No. 29 prospect from Ohio

* OT Ryan Carretta (6-5, 310), the No. 32 prospect from Ohio

* OT Colin Van Rooy (6-5, 300), the No. 48 prospect from Ohio

So, the Daniels commit now gives Pitt three offensive linemen from Ohio.
