Robert Morris hung around with Ohio State early in its season opener and even led after close to nine minutes. But the Buckeyes clobbered the Colonials after that in the season opener Monday night in Columbus, Ohio.
Ohio State led by 14 at the half and then dominated in the second half for a 91-53 win. The Buckeyes outscored the Colonials 49-25 in the second half.
Enoch Cheeks led Robert Morris with 17 points, hitting three 3-pointers. Stephaun Walker was the only other Colonial in double figures with 10 points.
Robert Morris started off well and led 15-13 inside of 12 minutes in the first half. But Ohio State hit a go-ahead 3-pointer and started pulling away as the half went on before taking a 42-28 lead into the locker room.
The Colonials will play their home opener Wednesday night against Pitt Greensburg, a Division III program.
