RICHMOND, Va. -- Man, I miss those late-season Saturday NFL games. Yeah, a lot of them were stinkers, but in the days when the NFL wasn’t quite as omnipresent as it is now, the option to fill an entire weekend with football action was such a nice bonus. And every now and then, you’d get a thriller like this game to enjoy!
And speaking of things I miss …
True, he’ll never be measured among the Steelers greatest WRs, considering the Hall of Fame pedigrees of so many that have held the position over the years. But Yancey Thigpen sure was a blast to watch as a member of those exciting teams of the 1990s, always seeming to come up with a clutch catch in a big moment. Definitely a favorite from that era!
