Tevin Brewer looks to make a play at St. Bonaventure.

Duquesne couldn't miss in its last game and scored a whopping 60 points in the first half at Saint Joseph's, but it was a much different story in the first half Wednesday night.

The Dukes struggled shooting, missed 12 of their first 13 shots and fell behind 20-3. They scored just 23 points in the first half and trailed by 15 at the break in what turned out to be a 65-56 road loss at St. Bonaventure.

The brutal first half was a crusher for Duquesne (13-6, 3-3 Atlantic 10), and showed just how different college basketball can be from one game to the next.

The Dukes trailed by as many as 20 points in the second half before making a run late to close the gap some.

Jimmy Clark III led Duquesne with 12 points, while Tre Williams added 11 off the bench and R.J. Gunn had 10.

The Dukes had a rough shooting night overall, making just 35 percent overall and only 6 of 22 from 3-point territory (27 percent). They also made only 8 of 18 free throws.

Duquesne's next game is Saturday at home against Fordham. Tipoff is 2 p.m. at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse. At 3-3, the Dukes are tied for seventh place in the Atlantic 10.
