Joe Reece poured it on with a career-high 26 points, and Duquesne poured it on in the second half to post a road blowout Wednesday night.
The Dukes led by just three at the half, then dominated in the second half for a 91-74 win at La Salle in Philadelphia.
This was Duquesne's first win over La Salle in Philadelphia since Jan 19, 2011, as they had lost the past six meetings there.
Reece's previous career high was 20 points, which he reached twice when he was at Bowling Green. He and Tre Williams combined for 29 of Duquesne's 50 points in the second half as the Dukes pulled away.
Duquesne (19-9, 9-6 Atlantic 10) moved within one of reaching 20 victories. Getting to that milestone would be extremely impressive for a team that won just six games last season and was picked to finish last in the A10.
The Dukes had a four-game winning streak and were playing their best ball of the year before suffering a 90-85 loss at Saint Louis the last time out.
They bounced back with a strong showing against La Salle (13-15, 7-8), which is having a solid season in the league but had no answers on its home court in this one.
Williams finished with 14 points for the Dukes, who also got 10 apiece from Dae Dae Grant, R.J. Gunn and Austin Rotroff. Grant scored all 10 of his points in the first half, helping the Dukes to a 41-38 halftime lead.
Duquesne shot a blistering 56 percent from the field for the game, while holding La Salle to 41 percent.
The Dukes will look to capture their 20th victory when they return home to face Davidson on Sunday at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse. Tipoff is 2 p.m., and the game will be televised nationally by USA Network.
