ALTOONA, Pa. -- Penn State landed its third commitment for the class of 2024 on Tuesday, getting four-star linebacker Kari Jackson from West Bloomfield High School in Michigan.
Jackson (6-2, 215) is rated the No. 9 prospect in Michigan and the No. 30 linebacker in the country by 247Sports.

Jackson also had offers from Pitt, Michigan, Maryland, Wisconsin, Michigan State and West Virginia, among others.
Jackson left his hometown to play at IMG Academy in Florida for one season but returned to Michigan for his junior year. Penn State offered him in May.
Here's a look at Penn State's 2024 recruiting class. All are four-star prospects:
• OL Cooper Cousins (6-5, 285) from Erie McDowell
• LB Anthony Speca (6-2, 220) from Pittsburgh Central Catholic
• LB Kari Jackson (6-2, 215) from West Bloomfield, Mich.
With the Jackson commitment, Penn State jumped up from No. 30 to No. 21 in the 247Sports recruiting rankings for the class of 2024. The Lions are No. 5 so far in the Big Ten rankings, behind Michigan, Iowa, Ohio State and Michigan State.
