Freeze Frame: Crosby scores in every NHL city taken in Dallas (Penguins)

Sidney Crosby beats the Stars' Jake Oettinger for his first career goal in Dallas in the second period Thursday night.

DALLAS -- Sidney Crosby has accomplished a lot in his 18-year NHL career, including some pretty impressive accomplishments lately.

There's the three Stanley Cups, two Olympic gold medals, a World Championship gold and a World Cup gold. He's won two Rocket Richard trophies as the NHL's leading goal-scorer, and two Art Ross trophies as the leading point-getter. He's got two Hart Trophies as the league's MVP, and two Conn Smythes as the playoff MVP. He's been voted the league's best player by his peers three times to win the Ted Lindsay Award.

Over the last week, Crosby was voted the league's most complete player by his peers for the fourth consecutive time, and clinched his 11th 30-goal season, tying Mario Lemieux for the most 30-goal seasons in franchise history.

There's one accomplishment that has evaded him until recently, though: A goal in every NHL team's city.

Entering Thursday's game here in Dallas, Crosby had at least one goal in the cities of 31 different teams -- his own, and 30 different road cities.

The last team's arena on his list? The Stars' American Airlines Center.

Crosby was able to cross that last building off his list Thursday night in the Penguins' 3-2 loss to the Stars.

It was the second period, and the Penguins trailed by a goal after Roope Hintz's first-period tally. Jake Guentzel set up Mark Friedman for a shot off the rush, and Friedman whiffed on it just enough to put the puck right in Crosby's lap. Crosby quickly redirected it past the Stars' Jake Oettinger:

I asked Crosby if he knew that this was the last city on his list, and he did.

"Yeah, guys told me that," he said, nodding to his teammates. "It's nice to finally get one. Should've had a couple more. Was hoping that they'd come in bunches here, but it was nice to finally get one."
