Simon signs with Bills after tryout at rookie minicamp taken in Downtown (Pitt)

Former Pitt linebacker Shayne Simon has signed with the Buffalo Bills after working through their rookie minicamp as a tryout.

The 24-year old posted with 94 tackles and 13 for loss in 25 games with Pitt after transferring over from Notre Dame prior to the start of the 2023 season. He was a captain for the Panthers and Pat Narduzzi in 2023, when he took over the Panthers' "Mike" linebacker spot following SirVocea Dennis' graduation.

A native of West Orange, N.J., Simon had 48 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, five sacks and two pass breakups in 2023. He had a career-high nine tackles in Pitt's game in 2022 against Virginia Tech.
