Greg Macafee, born and raised in western New York, covers the Pittsburgh Steelers and the University of Pittsburgh for DK Pittsburgh Sports. 

Greg received his bachelor’s degree in communications with a focus in journalism from Slippery Rock University in 2014 before moving to the West Coast for his first job in journalism. A few years later, he graduated from Arizona State University with a master’s degree in sports journalism. He covered high school and collegiate sports in the Phoenix area before moving back to Pittsburgh.

Prior to joining DK Pittsburgh Sports, Greg worked as a sports reporter for the Tribune-Review and was a sports editor, metro editor and most recently, the Editor-in-Chief for the Tribune Chronicle and The Vindicator newspapers in the Warren, Ohio area. He is happily married to his wife Lauren and they have two dogs, Bentley and Bleu. When Greg isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf, reading and finding the next show to binge on Netflix.
