Career: Mark, who has covered the Steelers since 2003, has been a sports writer since 1996 covering every sport imaginable for the Valley Independent, McKeesport Daily News and Pittsburgh Tribune-Review before joining Mark started writing scholastic sports as a freelancer for the Valley Independent while attending California (Pa.) University. After landing a full-time job (four years later) at the McKeesport Daily News, Mark ascended to sports editor within three years -- he hired Josh Yohe in 2004 -- while taking over the Steelers beat from the legendary Norm Vargo. Mark started covering the Steelers for the Trib (which owned the Daily News) in 2010 before getting elevated to the lead beat writer for the paper in January 2015. Mark, a member of the Pro Football Writers Association, has covered games in 36 NFL stadiums, including five Super Bowls, five AFC Championship Games and one NFC Championship Game.

Personal: Mark lives in Port Vue with wife Jennifer, daughter, Briella, and son, Wyatt. In his free time, Mark enjoys watching wrestling (that probably didn’t surprise you) and gardening (yeah, you didn’t see that one coming) along with just hanging out with the wifey and kiddo. Oh, yeah, he also seems to watch the same five movies over and over again: Karate Kid, Remember The Titans, Shawshank Redemption, Braveheart, Point Break -- which drives his wife crazy. Be aware, just because he covers football, he sure doesn’t #StickToFootballKaboly.
