THE SETUP

Always fun to be at one of Major League Baseball's prettiest places in one of America's prettier urban cores. These two teams split a four-game series April 12-15 at PNC Park. The Padres, of course, are expected to be a National League power, and they've begun to perform that way of late in taking six of their past nine. But their pitching's been in flux throughout, and Miguel Diaz was recalled from their alternate site to start this one as a result. Might be an opportunity for the visitors' bats to perk up.
