THE SETUP
The only thing better than visiting Winnipeg is when Winnipeg comes to you, right?
This will be the Jets' first game in Pittsburgh in a couple years -- Oct. 7, 2019 -- but the teams met earlier this season, Nov. 22 at Canada Life Centre, a 3-1 victory for the visitors that I covered. They're headed in decidedly different directions now, with the Penguins having won four in a row and 15 of 17, while the Jets are flailing around .500 and 0-2-1 on their four-game trip that ends here today. They lost, 3-2, yesterday in Boston.
There'll be no morning skate for either team, obviously, with the early faceoff. Mike Sullivan will speak with reporters at 11 a.m. Taylor Haase will handle that, and I'll join her for the game.
