THE SETUP
After 14 spring practices, Pitt football is ready to perform for the public for the first time in 2022 at Heinz Field Saturday. Players were selected between the blue and gold teams Wednesday during a draft among players and coaches. Among the top players to watch will be Kedon Slovis throwing passes against live competition for the first time in public since he transferred to Pitt from USC, and several young playmakers looking to make their first mark as potential starters this season like transfer receiver Konata Mumpfield, linebackers Bangally Kamara and Solomon DeShields, Aaron Donald's nephew Elliot Donald, Dayon Hayes and many more.
