THE SETUP

The Panthers try to rebound after a disappointing loss Wednesday to Virginia when Pitt's defense lapsed in the second half. They'll face a Clemson team that ranks in the middle of the ACC in both offense and defense. Pitt's leading scorer in John Hugley IV with 15.8 points per game will match up with Clemson's leading scorer P.J. Hall with 14.7 points per game, as both forwards are the primary focus of their teams. Clemson's 46.6 field goal percentage that ranks fifth in the ACC could pose a problem for Pitt if those defense lapses return.
