THE SETUP

After being trounced by Duke Tuesday in their final home game of the season, the Panthers play their final regular season against Notre Dame Saturday. Pitt took Notre Dame down to the last second in a 68-67 loss to the Fighting Irish back on Dec. 28. Notre Dame has since ascended to rank third in the ACC with a 14-5 conference record heading into Saturday with the ACC Tournament set to start Tuesday.

John Hugley IV led Pitt with 18 points in the previous meeting and has since improved his ability to take on double teams. How he plays in this game could be a good sign of his growth.
